LEONARD INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL: Leonard High School Will Be Moving To Remote Learning For All Students This Dec. 14 - 18

Studentlaptop

Leonard Intermediate School issued the following announcement on Dec. 14.

This message is to notify you that Leonard High School will be moving to remote learning for all students this week -  December 14 through 18.  We apologize for the short notice, but we have been notified of 4 positive cases so far this weekend connected to the high school campus.  We are working with the Department of State Health Services for contact tracing and have several staff members and students deemed as close contacts.

We are still in the process of identifying other possible close contacts to the positive cases.  Unfortunately, we will not have enough substitutes to cover our staff shortage.  All high school students have previously been issued technology devices and should log on to Google Classroom for assignments starting tomorrow.  Anyone in need of a hot spot may contact the high school office tomorrow at 903-587-3556.

For questions regarding classroom assignments in Google, please utilize email to communicate with your teachers.  Our plan is for the other LISD campuses to remain open this week as long as we do not see an increase in positive cases, and as long as we have enough substitutes to cover classes at those campuses. Thank you for helping us through this time.  We appreciate your support.
