The Fannin County Lake Economic Development Committee (FCLEDC) has announced a public meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Darrell Hall Education Center/Agri-Life in Bonham, Texas.
The agenda includes establishing a quorum and opening the floor to the public forum. Approval of minutes from the previous regular meeting on February 10, 2026, is also planned.
Committee members will discuss and consider steps to create an economic development plan for regions within the county. There will be discussion and potential action regarding future land use for Bois d’Arc Lake. The committee also plans to review new economic development topics relevant to lake regions within the county.
Another item on the agenda is setting the date and location for the next regular FCLEDC meeting. The proposed date is April 14, 2026, at Bois d’Arc Hall in Honey Grove.

According to recent data from state education authorities, Fannin County saw a 4.5% increase in at-risk students during the 2023-24 school year, reaching a total of 2,247 students (https://tea.texas.gov/). This placed Fannin County schools as having the 102nd highest number of at-risk student enrollments in Texas (https://tea.texas.gov/). White students made up the largest ethnic group with 3,638 enrolled—about two-thirds of all students—while Hispanic students were second with just over one-fifth of enrollment (https://tea.texas.gov/).
