All Grayson County government offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 29, due to weather and road conditions. The announcement was made by Bruce W. Dawsey, Grayson County Judge.
Despite the closure of government offices, emergency services such as 911 will continue to operate as needed.
In related education statistics for the area, the number of at-risk students in Grayson County decreased by 1.3% during the 2023-24 school year, totaling 12,316 students according to data from the Texas Education Agency (https://tea.texas.gov/). Grayson County schools ranked 35th highest in Texas for total at-risk student enrollment during that period (https://tea.texas.gov/). Demographic information shows that white students were the largest ethnic group in Grayson County schools with 14,195 students or 55.5% of the student body, while Hispanic students were second with 7,526 students representing 29.4% (https://tea.texas.gov/).
“All 911 and emergency services will still be operating this day as needed,” stated Bruce W. Dawsey.
