All Grayson County government offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, due to weather and road conditions. The closure was announced by Bruce W. Dawsey, Grayson County Judge.
Emergency services, including 911 operations, will continue as needed during the closure.
Recent data from the Texas Education Agency shows that the number of at-risk students in Grayson County decreased by 1.3% during the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 12,316 students. Grayson County schools were ranked 35th highest in Texas for total at-risk student enrollment during this period according to https://tea.texas.gov/.
The largest ethnic group in Grayson County schools for the 2023-24 school year was white students, totaling 14,195 and representing 55.5% of the student body. Hispanic students made up the second-largest group with 7,526 students or 29.4%. Further details are available at https://tea.texas.gov/.
