Shelley Luther, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’ 62nd House district, has used her social media platform to express strong positions on property tax reform, pharmaceutical industry influence, and religious law in the United States.

On September 2, 2025, Luther posted: “We need HUGE bites toward property tax elimination… NOT nibbles for certain communities! My district DEMANDS it, and that’s why I voted NO.” She attributed her vote against a measure to the demand from her constituents for significant action on property tax elimination.

The following day, on September 3, 2025, Luther voiced support for Robert Kennedy Jr. and criticized the pharmaceutical industry: “I stand with @SecKennedy. The fact that Big Pharma is trying to oust him means that he is right over the target. Bombs away, @RobertKennedyJr… They need a cup check.”

Later that same day, she commented on religious law in the United States: “Sharia law must come to an end in the US, ASAP.”

Luther was elected to the Texas State House in 2025 after replacing Reggie Smith as representative of District 62.
