Cost of college went up for all students at Austin College

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Austin College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $39,960 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,160 more than the $38,800 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 332 students received grants or scholarships totaling $10.1 million and 187 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,299), 1,202 students used grants or scholarships totaling $35.1 million, and 662 students took out $4.5 million in federal student loans.
