Lindsay ISD Education: 490 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 490 students enrolled in Lindsay ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, a slight increase compared to the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.7% of them were boys, and 47.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 92.9% of the Lindsay ISD total enrollment.

Lindsay ISD roughly covers schools within Cooke County with its main office in Lindsay.

Among the two schools in Lindsay ISD, Lindsay Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 258 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
