How many students were enrolled in Ector ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There were 234 students enrolled in Ector ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 8.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.4% of them were girls, and 49.6% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 80.3% of the Ector ISD total enrollment.

Ector ISD roughly covers schools within Fannin County with its main office in Ector.

Among the two schools in Ector ISD, Ector Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 126 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
