There were 725 students enrolled in Trenton ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.8% of them were boys, and 47.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 68.4% of the Trenton ISD total enrollment.

Trenton ISD roughly covers schools within Fannin County with its main office in Trenton.

Among the three schools in Trenton ISD, Trenton Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 312 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
