How many students were enrolled in Sam Rayburn ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There were 518 students enrolled in Sam Rayburn ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.3% of them were girls, and 46.7% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 87.3% of the Sam Rayburn ISD total enrollment.

Sam Rayburn ISD roughly covers schools within Fannin County with its main office in Ivanhoe.

Among the two schools in Sam Rayburn ISD, Sam Rayburn Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 285 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
