Enrollment at Tom Bean ISD schools slightly decreased compared to previous school year

There were 657 students enrolled in Tom Bean ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, a slight decrease from the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51% of them were girls, and 49% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 78.7% of the Tom Bean ISD total enrollment.

Tom Bean ISD roughly covers schools within Grayson County with its main office in Tom Bean.

Among the three schools in Tom Bean ISD, Tom Bean Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 307 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
