Enrollment at Bonham ISD schools increased by 0.6% compared to previous school year

There were 1,899 students enrolled in Bonham ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54.4% of them were boys, and 45.6% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 55.3% of the Bonham ISD total enrollment.

Bonham ISD roughly covers schools within Fannin County with its main office in Bonham.

Among the five schools in Bonham ISD, Bonham High School recorded the highest enrollment of 548 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
