Dodd City ISD Education: 331 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 331 students enrolled in Dodd City ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 85.8% of the Dodd City ISD total enrollment.

Dodd City ISD roughly covers schools within Fannin County with its main office in Dodd City.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
