There were 42 African American students enrolled in Honey Grove ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 8.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Honey Grove ISD schools welcomed 617 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 6.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Honey Grove ISD roughly covers schools within Fannin County and has a main office in Honey Grove.

Among the three schools in Honey Grove ISD schools, Honey Grove Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of African American students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 18 students.
