City of Gainesville issued the following announcement on April 28.
The National Weather Service has upgraded the Severe Weather Outlook for Cooke County to a Moderate Risk as a squall line is expected to move through the area this evening. The primary threat will be damaging winds. Large hail and a few tornadoes will also be possible overnight.
