City of Gainesville issued the following announcement on June 29.
CITY offices will be closed Friday, July 3, 2020 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. City offices will reopen on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 8:00 A.M. The holiday will affect trash schedules, as listed below:
Monday, June 29 - Route will run as scheduled.
Tuesday, June 30 - Route will run as scheduled.
Wednesday, July 1 - Thursday scheduled route. “No Special Pickup” or
“Brush Pickup”
Thursday, July 2 - Friday scheduled route.
Friday, July 3 - CITY HOLIDAY. No Commercial, Residential carts or roll-off service. Commercial dumpster routes will run as scheduled. The Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. The Transfer Station will reopen on Monday, July 6th at 8:00 am.
