Leonard Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.
Please join YAJC for the 2nd Annual Leonard Lighted Christmas Parade!

All entries will need to have lights. Lineup will begin at 5 pm at the First Baptist Church & Parmele St. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6 pm the parade will follow.
If you would like to participate:
There will be a craft fair from 11am -5pm in the Kickbax Offroad storefront. Located at the South West corner of S. Main st and Fannin.
The Leonard Preservation League is also having a cake, pie, sweets by the slice beginning at 5 pm on the Northside of the Leonard Square as their fundraiser
YAJC will also hold its 2nd Annual Chili cook off.
Drop off chili from 4:30 to 5pm in the back office, use the side entrance off Main st, across from Knuckle Head Graphics
Only rule is, you must have made your own chili! No store bought chili!
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place chili!
After the Parade we will convene back at Kickbax for judging and fellow ship!
There will be several Christmas cards for people to sign or write a special message on. These will be distributed to the local nursing homes as well as fuzzy socks and throw blankets. Even if you don’t want to decorate your jeep or make a pot of chili, please do come out and sign a card lets fellow ship with good people.
