City of Gainesville issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
Beginning on Monday, November 23 at 8:00am, Lynn Vessels
Construction will be starting another Street Utility Maintenance Program (SUMP) bid package K, for the City of Gainesville. They will be replacing water mains, sewer mains, and doing various street improvements in the areas of Bird St., Hancock St., and E. Broadway St., between Taylor St. and Grand Ave.
During the time of construction in these areas, expect detours, road
closures, and periodic disruption of water service. We apologize for any inconvenience during construction and ask you to be patient with us as we continue to improve the City of Gainesville's infrastructure.
