Rep. Pat Fallon, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 4th district since 2021, has expressed concerns over the current administration's handling of border security through a series of tweets. Fallon, who succeeded John Ratcliffe and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives and Senate, shared his views on social media regarding immigration and national safety.
On November 27, 2024, Rep. Fallon stated that "Joe Biden & Kamala Harris have allowed 10 million+ illegals to flood into our country-- the worst border crisis in US history." He criticized their approach to border security, emphasizing the need to reassert U.S. sovereignty by securing the borders.
In a subsequent tweet on November 28, 2024, he asserted that "The main responsibility of our government is to keep Americans safe." Fallon highlighted that since fiscal year 2021, nearly 394 individuals on the terrorist watchlist had been apprehended at U.S. borders. He blamed the Biden-Harris administration for jeopardizing American safety due to their refusal to secure borders.
Later on November 28, Rep. Fallon reported an incident involving three capital murder suspects from Venezuela's Tren de Aragua gang who were released with a Notice to Appear after crossing the border. He tweeted that "This is a direct threat to the safety of all Americans." Urging action against such practices, he stressed stopping the release of dangerous criminals into communities.
