Rep. Pat Fallon, who represents Texas’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has voiced concerns about China's growing military and technological capabilities through a series of tweets. Fallon, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing John Ratcliffe, highlighted several areas where he believes the United States needs to bolster its defenses.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Fallon expressed his concerns regarding China's shipbuilding advancements. He stated that "China is quickly gaining in terms of shipbuilding capacity and surface fleet size compared to the US." He emphasized the importance of increasing investment in domestic shipbuilding production to deter China’s influence in the Indo-Pacific region.

Continuing on March 26, 2025, Fallon highlighted potential threats posed by China's military capabilities. In his tweet, he remarked that "China has the capabilities to deliver catastrophic damage to the US, posing a direct threat to our homeland." He further mentioned China's focus on modernizing its nuclear arsenal and stressed the need for deterrence against such threats.

Later that day, Fallon commented on China's advancements in space technology. He noted that "China has passed Russia as a leader in the space domain and is on track to compete with the US as the worldwide leader." Emphasizing national security interests, he called for strengthening U.S. presence and dominance in space.
