Representative Pat Fallon, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Texas' 4th district, has taken to social media to express his concerns about offshore wind farms and their impact on national security. Fallon, who replaced former Congressman John Ratcliffe in 2021, is a longstanding member of Congress with prior experience in the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.

On April 15, 2025, Fallon argued that "Offshore wind turbines harm military readiness & make it hard to see targets on radar, including high-frequency and marine vessel radar." He emphasized that the development of wind farms in key maritime areas, especially near the Arctic, should be reconsidered to protect national security.

In a follow-up post, Fallon introduced his legislative initiative, the Rescinding Offshore Wind Tax Credit Act, intended to tackle this perceived national security risk. Details of the proposed bill were not disclosed, but it underscores Fallon's opposition to incentivizing wind energy projects in sensitive coastal zones.

Additionally, on the same day, Fallon addressed economic and security concerns in a subsequent statement, highlighting, "Our overreliance on China is arguably the biggest threat to our national security." Fallon criticized the lack of lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, praising former President Trump's leadership for focusing on American interests.

Pat Fallon, a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was born in 1967, and he now resides in Frisco. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.
