There were 230 students enrolled in Ector ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53% of them were boys, and 47% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 81.7% of the Ector ISD total enrollment.

Ector ISD roughly covers schools within Fannin County with its main office in Ector.

Among the two schools in Ector ISD, Ector High School recorded the highest enrollment of 118 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
