There were 58 white students enrolled in Sivells Bend ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 7.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Sivells Bend ISD schools welcomed 70 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 82.9% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Sivells Bend ISD roughly covers schools within Cooke County and has a main office in Gainesville.

Sivells Bend Elementary School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 58 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
